In Structures and Thermal Systems, the main mission is to ensure the satellite's structural integrity by studying geometric centers, centers of mass, and material behavior, as well as designing and testing ventilation and energy dispersion systems to manage extreme space temperatures.

This department is based on two main pillars, Attitude Control and Orbits. In Attitude Control, the mission is to orient and stabilize the satellite using mechanical systems in order to align all the satellite's sensors and antennas with the Earth so that we can receive and transmit data in real time. Simultaneously, another major focus is on orbital mechanics, where we will calculate and simulate optimal orbits for the satellite's operation. In addition, we will work on the satellite's return to Earth by calculating and simulating orbit decay and re-entry trajectories.
